Nick De Klerk
Professor Nick de Klerk is head of biostatistics, bioinformatics and genetic epidemiology at the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research in Perth.
He is also adjunct professor at the University of Western Australia’s School of Population Health where he has worked on the Wittenoom cohort studies since 1983. He has a BSc (Physics) from Imperial College, London and an MSc (Statistics) from Sussex University.
He worked for the UK Heart Disease Prevention Project, the Natural History Museum in London and the North West Thames Regional Health Authority before coming to Perth in 1980, He works on a wide range of child health-related projects, as well as supervising students and advising on boards, committees and review panels.
